Since the commencement of the hols I've had the privilege of sampling some really great food, but I'm too lazy to list all of them. While I keep those in a tiny drawer in my head, I'll let you on this one: Teck Sang at 11 Hong Kong Street, near Central mall. It's a wholesale centre so you can get some dried fruits and nuts for a steal - about 4-10 bucks a kg. Try the Rosella, a type of hibiscus from Africa. (They let you taste the food first.) The preserved kind makes for a sweet snack; the dried one is good for making tea, which helps to clear noses. Think I might go back to get stuff for the hosts.
If I could dedicate my life to ditloids I would. I think Mrs. Seah gave us a bunch during our last lesson. Riveting stuff.
By the way, you should read The Economist's Style Guide, which I got for free thanks to the sister's renewed subscription.
And while you're at it, also read Michael Chabon. At the moment I'm eating up Yiddish Policemen's Union after a delectable The Final Solution. Not available at Bedok Community Library. Screw it, I haven't read real books in a long time.
Damned throat.
