Got up at 00h00 for the SCSM this morning. I delayed my actual waking by sitting still and meditating on my sleepiness. Arrived pretty much on time at the Padang, whereupon I got my volunteers' bag and changed out in the (surprisingly clean) temp toilets.
J'ai passe bcp de temps en cherchant la fille qui s'occupait de moi. J'ai decouvert apres qu'elle etait un peu bizarre... Elle a montre une partie de son corps que tout le monde n'a pas eu envie de voir... Je n'en voudrais plus parler. Puis nous nous sommes mis a preparer les tasses en papier, car nous n'avons eu rien a faire comme le premier concours commencerais a 5h30 et c'etait 2h. Tout a coup, une autre equipe a apparu et la meneuse a dit a la notre que nous avons ete au faux endroit.
It was quite a boring job pretty much, save the excitement of dodging the cups of unfinished of 100 PLUS. (Note to self: Next time, do hospitality instead.) Then there was the thrill of seeing the amazing African runners who looked like - no, they were - sprinting the entire marathon.
At the end of the day, we got our $20 and for me, CIP hours. Lucky I have quick reflexes; I managed to evade the worst of the worst and thank goodness I was wearing sandals, though for the rest of the day every step I took sounded like I was waxing the floor. Some got soaked to the skin. I guess I was better off, then. Not sure the money's worth it, but hey, better than nothing.

Admittedly the second one's a bit crudely cut off, maybe I should've followed the rule-of-thirds more closely. Loving the B&W! Was ooh-ing and aah-ing over the cousin's wedding photos. Hm. Needs work.
